Keeping people productiveFor over 25 years, Southwest EAP has helped organizations manage their most valuable resources, their employees. We continue to change and evolve with the needs of our client companies. However, our focus and mission remain constant: To assist companies in managing their risk associated with employee issues such as absenteeism, turnover, productivity, harassment, discrimination, and threats of violence, accidents, workers compensation claims and litigation.Originally, Southwest EAP focused on the risk of drugs and alcohol in the workplace. However, it was quickly realized that the same program could be utilized to address multiple employee problems and Southwest EAP incorporated a full range of services. With the addition of the managed care EAP model, employee assistance programs became more clinically focused and were perceived to be simply an employee counseling benefit. At Southwest EAP we firmly believe EAPs are beneficial to employees, but that their true value and purpose should be as a management tool to address risk management and other company issues. Southwest EAP has always provided Corporate Training, Crisis Management/Debriefing Services, Substance Abuse Program Management, Organizational Development, Workplace Violence and Sexual Harassment Prevention Services and a strong preventive educational component as standard services. Recently, in answer to the needs of an aging America, the focus on preventive healthcare, and advances of technology, we have added Corporate Health Programs, Eldercare Planning, Work/Life Services and Online Services. Over the past 25 years, Southwest EAP has helped its client companies reduce overall costs, decreasing turnover, absenteeism, health care premiums, risk and liability, while increasing employee productivity. Thus assisting companies in actually turning their EAP into a legitimate profit center. We are committed to continuing that high level of service, accountability and return on investment for the next 25 years and beyond. |
